One of the most pressing problems of the 21st century
remains feeding the hungry, an issue that touches all nations. Those who cannot
feed their own search for answers, from boosting agricultural productivity and
mitigating crop damage, to improving distribution and lessening spoilage of
foodstuffs.
People to People delegates and their international
counterparts examine methods to maximize productivity and realize the potential
of alternative food sources. Specialized teams exchange ideas with their
foreign counterparts regarding food processing, packaging, storage,
distribution, and marketing.
As a People to People delegation member, observe field
demonstrations of agricultural methods and visit processors and shippers to
understand their challenges in delivering, communication, and agricultural
exchanges.
